On Saturday, 22nd March 2025, the Funds-Axis Belfast team had the honour of attending the Business Beats Cancer Gala Dinner at the iconic Titanic Belfast. Organised by the Business Beats Cancer Belfast Board, this inspiring event brought together leaders from across Northern Ireland’s business community to support Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and their mission to beat cancer.
An Evening of Elegance and Impact
The gala was a celebration of generosity, resilience, and community spirit. Guests were welcomed with a drinks reception in the Titanic atrium, followed by an evening of exquisite dining, entertainment, and fundraising. Highlights included:
- A special appearance by Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones, Derry Girls)
- Live performances from Peter Corry Productions
- A DJ set from Q Radio’s Connor Brennan
- Comedy by Andrew Ryan, Q Radio host
- Raffles, auctions, and heartfelt stories of hope and progress
Why It Matters
Every day, more than 28 people are diagnosed with cancer in Northern Ireland. The funds raised during the gala go directly toward vital cancer research projects in the region, helping to improve early detection, treatment, and survival rates. CRUK’s goal is ambitious yet achievable: to see 3 in 4 cancer patients survive by 2034.
