It was a busy 2 days for us this week with back to back events starting in London and then Luxembourg. In London, we were one of the headline sponsors of an event examining the effects of Brexit on the fund management industry. The topics that were discussed included what impact it will have on the fund centres in Dublin, Luxembourg and London, the potential changes in the delegation and passporting rules and ramifications of possible EU-UK regulatory divergence.
Our Head of Relationships Rosie McKerr was on the panel for the discussion. The event was very well attended and there were some very interesting discussions among the attendees. Thank you to Karena Vaughan of Catalina Consulting and Simon Osborne of IFI Global for the opportunity to be involved in the event and we look forward to the events planned for Luxembourg, London and Dublin across 2020.
The next day we were in Luxembourg at Société Générale #LePlateau building for the TechFin event. This event brought together leading members of the fund management industry in Luxembourg with a number of fintech vendors. As a sponsor we were involved in lots of things during the day including our Managing Director Darren Burrows presenting our global funds technology to attendees and discussing the importance of the user experience in the evolution of solutions for the fund management industry. Thank you to the FinTech team for having us and we look forward to potentially being involved again next year.
