It was another busy week for us this week that included attending an event on the Irish funds industry in Dublin. The event was hosted by PWC and addressed various topics which will impact the industry over the next 10 years including the evolution of ManCo hosting platforms, Irish fund governance in the CP86 era, productivity in fund servicing and the development of regulatory technology. We were delighted to be joined as sponsors by other leading companies in the industry including Link Asset Services, Pacific Fund Systems and Bridge Consulting as well as local business support organisations Enterprise Ireland and Invest Northern Ireland.
Our Managing Director Darren Burrows was involved in the panel on the role technology will play in supporting the Irish funds industry to meet its increasing regulatory requirements. He was joined by representatives from PWC and Duff & Phelps. The discussion during the panel covered a range of issues such as what upcoming regulations the industry will have to deal with, the ability of new regtech start ups to obtain funding, whether consolidation will occur in the regtech industry and what fund managers require of their software vendors.
The event was very well attended and we would like thank Catalina Consulting and IFI Global for the opportunity to be involved. It was great to catch up with existing clients and contacts as well as meeting new contacts and we look forward to the next event.
