Fund managers are having to deal with an increasing amount of regulation which is placing a significant burden on them. Against this backdrop, we thought it would be useful to hold a conference to help fund managers to develop an effective strategy to meet the challenges of regulatory reporting in the UK, Europe and North America.
Our conference was held in London on the 14th April and was kindly sponsored by one of our technology partners Miles Software.
There was strong interest in this conference with over 30 delegates attending from leading UK fund managers including Jupiter Asset Management, Henderson Global Investors, Columbia Threadneedle, Russell Investments, Baillie Gifford, M&G Investment Management, Old Mutual Global Investors and Standard Life Investments.
Speakers at the conference included our Managing Director Darren Burrows and other regulatory reporting managers from Funds-Axis and our sponsor Miles Software.
It commenced with an overview of the current regulatory landscape, followed by a detailed examination of AIFMD Annex IV Reporting. Other regulatory reporting examined in Europe included Solvency II, MIFID II and Opera as well as regulations in the US such as 13F and Form PF. The conference then when on to examine how to develop and implement an effective regulatory reporting framework to manage the various regulatory reporting requirements that fund managers have to manage on a daily basis.
Finally, the conference concluded with an examination of how regulatory technology (RegTech) can support fund managers to meet their regulatory obligations in a more efficient and cost effective way through automating the entire compliance and reporting process.
The conference was very well received with many positive responses from delegates and we hope to hold a similar event again next year.
